1) If the pipe diameter is large 
 
2) If there is tight lining inside pipe
 
3) If there is serious scaling or corrosion in the pipe inner wall
 
4) When the pipe material is poor conductor of ultrasonic wave (such as cast iron pipe, cement pipe, etc.)
 
5) When the clamp-on ultrasonic transducers fail to reach the required signal strength or the measurement result is unstable
 
6) When the measured part of the measured pipe is in the state of water accumulation for a long time
